TOO EXPENSIVE
In fact, 10 years of FTFa membership can pay for itself if you receive unemployment benefits for just 3 months during those 10 years. Therefore, the unemployment insurance fund is extremely important and is a cornerstone of how the Danish labor market is structured. This way, we ensure that it is possible to get a new job, change jobs, and be laid off.
Moreover, we are actually one of the country's cheapest unemployment insurance funds. We can be that because we only spend time and energy on what you, as a member, need. You can save a lot of money by being in the right unemployment insurance fund.
STUDENT
Do you really want to miss all the benefits of being a member of FTFa? The unemployment insurance fund is invaluable as a student:

Also, be aware that it requires one year of membership as a student if you want to be entitled to unemployment benefits from the day after you complete your education.
NEWLY GRADUATED AND EMPLOYED
Even if you are on the right track and have landed a job, the unemployment insurance fund is still a good sparring partner, both career-wise and financially.
Maybe you've heard about the Danish model? Unemployment insurance funds are important in Danish society because we have built a unique model in the labor market, where in Denmark it is natural to change jobs and it is natural to receive financial support and security in periods between jobs. This is called the Danish model, and that's also why more than 83% of all Danish wage earners are members of an unemployment insurance fund.
In short, the unemployment insurance fund is your financial foundation when you change jobs, become unemployed, or are out of the labor market for a period. It is a unique thing we have in Denmark, and FTFa is proud to be part of this model.
SELF-EMPLOYED

HERE YOU SEE STEP BY STEP HOW TO CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP All you have to do is fill out the cancellation form. After that, you don't have to do anything more until we contact you.
- Fill out the form in Tast Selv. You can find it here.
- Submit by accepting the completed form.
- Once we have received and processed your cancellation, you will receive a text message that we will call you regarding your cancellation.
- Finally, you will receive a text message that your cancellation has been processed, and you have received a cancellation letter in Tast Selv. Go to the form here.
Note that your cancellation period runs over the current month plus one month. This means that if you cancel on July 15, your cancellation will take effect from September 1.
If you are a flex jobber or receive an invalidity/social pension, other cancellation rules apply, and we recommend that you contact us.
Also, be aware that if you cancel, you will lose your wage insurance.
